The Friendship Center is fortunate to have a support system that includes funding through grant applications from federal, state, and local agencies. Competition is high among social service organizations and as many other non-profits, we look beyond our base funding sources. We strive to meet the challenges of raising the funds needed to provide the seniors of Montgomery County with the essential services they require to maintain an independent lifestyle. As we meet these demands it is imperative that we seek non-traditional sources of income, while staying within the requirements of a non-profit agency. The Friendship Center has moved forward to capture additional revenues into the agency through "Supplemental Funding" to support our core service programs. We utilize our assets already in place to create revenues, which go directly back to our core programs.
